They pair a tough polyester facestock with a high-performance permanent acrylic adhesive to deliver crisp print, outstanding smear/scratch resistance, and excellent durability against moisture, chemicals, and abrasion"”even through repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For maximum permanence and outdoor use, Zebra certifies White and Silver 4000T with Zebra 5095/5100 resin ribbons (UL-recognized/CSA-accepted when used together); the Clear version offers the same print quality but is not UL/CSA approved. Typical use cases include asset and equipment labeling, rating/serial plates, automotive and electronics work-in-process, cold-chain, and other applications where long-term readability is critical. The topcoat is fanfold-friendly and the construction meets FDA 175.105 for indirect food contact.
